Ayesha Curry is “so proud” of Steph Curry after the Warriors star made history in a 127-113 win over the Hawks on Monday.
Curry, 33, recorded 50 points and 10 assists for the first time in his 13-year NBA career. He became the third Warriors player in franchise history to reach 50 points and 10 assists, joining Wilt Chamberlain (1963) and Rick Barry (1974).
“Y’all didn’t see the summer work he put in… I did,” the cookbook author wrote on her Instagram story. “I love him. The most inspiring is to say the least.”
Curry shared a post by the Warriors that named her husband player of the game.
“Proud of you and love you @stephencurry30 … It’s a great day to be a wildcat and a Warrior.”
The power couple recently posed for the fall/winter cover of “Sweet July” — a lifestyle magazine founded by Ayesha — with their three children, son Canon Jack, 3, and daughters Ryan Carson, 6, and Riley Elizabeth, 9.
After the win over Atlanta, Curry and Golden State are an NBA-best 9-1. He added seven rebounds, three steals and a block.
The team is awaiting the return of Klay Thompson, who has been working his way back from a torn Achilles, following an ACL injury. The All-Star guard is targeting a return around Christmas.
The Warriors play host to the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
