Biden wears the mask outside as an ‘extra precaution’, aides say

A White House aide said that President Biden is not following the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to have his mask planted outside and around small groups of other vaccinated people.

“You know, we take some extra precautions for her because she’s the President of the United States,” Anita Dunn, a senior adviser in the Biden administration, said on CNN’s “State of the Union” when Biden asked “why ‘Looks after new guidance’.

Dunn insisted that he take the advice of health officials seriously.

“I think the president takes the CDC guidelines very seriously, and has always played his part as sending a signal to follow science, very seriously as well.”

The agency announced last week that vaccinated Americans could withstand outside coverings unless they were at large ceremonies such as concerts.

But Biden said he would continue wearing masks outside, calling it “patriotic responsibility” and “little caution”.

Other vaccinated people should also feel comfortable following the new guidelines.

“I would say that people should follow CDC guidelines and take advantage of getting the vaccine, getting them fully vaccinated and taking off that mask, especially when the weather turns out to be very beautiful,” she said.
