Britney Spears took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to share a photo of a painful-looking foot injury.
“OUCH guys … I stepped on a nail ??,” she wrote before jokingly adding, “… guess you can say I nailed it ???♀️? !!!!!”
Spears revealed her injury shortly after she shared a skin-baring snap and subsequent video of herself showing off her toned backside in nothing but a black thong.
“Here’s my ass ?? !!!!” she wrote alongside her first cheeky post.
The “Overprotected” singer’s follow-up clip included a strong message hitting back at haters who accused her of filtering her derriere.
“Here’s a video so you guys can see this is really my ass!!!!” she captioned the footage of her holding her breasts as her back faced toward a mirror. “No filters or cover ups … it’s the real deal !!!!”
She also added what sounded like a dig at photographers: “Psss I shoot myself with a selfie stick and always will … it STAYS UP … it DOESN’T TALK BACK … and it’s EXTREMELY RELIABLE !!!”
Over the past few months, the Grammy winner has been heating up her Instagram grid with semi-nude posts amid the contentious conservatorship battle with her estranged father, Jamie Spears.
Page Six confirmed on Tuesday that the elder Spears, 69, filed a petition to end the conservatorship that has controlled his famous daughter’s life for more than 13 years.
“This filing represents another legal victory for Britney Spears — a massive one — as well as vindication for Ms. Spears,” said Mathew S. Rosengart, Britney Spears’ attorney, in a statement to Page Six.
During her court testimony on June 23, Spears described her conservatorship as “abusive” and expressed her desire to charge her father with “conservatorship abuse.”
Jamie Spears’ petition to end the conservatorship finally came after years of staunch resistance and an Aug. 30 filing from Britney Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, which accused his client’s father of extorting $2 million in exchange to step down from his supervising role in the stifling legal arrangement.
The next court hearing in Spears’ conservatorship case is scheduled for Sept. 29.
