Canceled. Ellis Stefanik asks Gov. Cuomo to resign

Andrew Cuomo is a “criminal sexual predator” who “should resign immediately” on detailed sexual harassment allegations of a former colleague, a member of Congress from New York said Wednesday.

Rape Ellis Stefanik (R-Glance Falls) also stated that “any elected official who does not immediately call for his resignation is complicit in allowing a sexual predator to continue the great state of New York.”

Stefanik’s remarks came after Lindsey Boylan, now a Democratic candidate for Manhattan Municipal President, published an online essay in which she accused Cuomo of kissing her “on the lips” in 2018 after a meeting in her Manhattan office.

“Governor Cuomo has achieved his title as Worst Governor in the US and now every New Yorker knows that he is a criminal sexual predator,” Stephanik said in a prepared statement.

“I have served in the Congress during the height of the #MeToo movement and am leading to the resignation and retirement of my colleagues. Sexual harassment and sexual exploitation in the workplace is not a political issue, it is about right and wrong. Governor Cuomo should resign immediately. “

Another member of the New York congressional delegation, US Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island) echoed Stefnik’s demand.

“I already called for the government. Cuomo to resign over his annoying nursing home, [death toll] Coverup, and threats to Ron Kim, ”Malliotkis told The Post.

“These allegations are disgusting and, if true, all the more reason that Cuomo needs to go.”

Malliottakis further sought an investigation into Boylan’s claims on Public Ethics by the State Joint Commission, stating that “Cuomo appointments should recuse themselves so that it is truly independent.”

State sen. Alessandra Biaggi (D-The Bronx) as well Tweeted about Boylan’s allegations: “I have no doubt that this is true.”

“I’ve seen similar behavior, and that’s unacceptable,” Biogi said.

“While the abuse is primarily with the abuser, the abuse also extends to those who help it remain silent. They are also complex.

Assemblywoman Yoh-Line Nieu (D-Manhattan) tweeted about Boylan, “I believe he”.

“Imagine working every day with such fear. I know how it is. So do many of us. It must end, ” Neu wrote.

“It is never okay to normalize or accept predatory and abusive behavior.”

In January, Cuomo denied Boylan’s initial allegations, “just not true” and his press secretary, Katlin Girouard, said in a prepared statement Wednesday, “As we said earlier, Ms. Boylan’s claims of inappropriate behavior are fairly straightforward.” Are false.
