No one is more excited about Aaron Rodgers’ return to Green Bay — and his hefty payday — than his newlywed teammate, David Bakhtiari.

On Tuesday, the Packers offensive tackle celebrated the news that Rodgers would be staying in Green Bay for his 18th NFL season, amid weeks of speculation he’d potentially move on. Although Rodgers confidant Pat McAfee was first to get the scoop, other NFL insiders went on to report the details of the deal, which ranged from four years and $200 million to $50 million per season.

It seems Bakhtiari — who had Rodgers officiate his lavish California nuptials last weekend — may have seen the alleged numbers online, given he went on to joke about the sort of gift he might receive.

“My gift is about to be dope AF @AaronRodgers12. Please ask him for me @PatMcAfeeShow and @OfficialAJHawk. I’ll be on my honeymoon, and out of the country. Thanks in advance to all parties,” Bakhtiari tweeted Tuesday, adding the hashtags “blessed” and “dinner for 2.”

McAfee, who hosts Rodgers weekly on his show, said Tuesday that while there is no deal currently in place, a cap-friendly agreement is on the way for the quarterback. Rodgers addressed his return to Green Bay later in the day Tuesday, telling his Twitter followers the alleged details about his contract are “inaccurate.”

“Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the Packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I ‘signed.’ I’m very excited to be back,” he tweeted.

Rodgers, the league’s reigning MVP, had long been linked to the Broncos, with reports surfacing how Denver was willing to go “all-in” to acquire his services. The Broncos, meanwhile, traded for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on Tuesday afternoon.

With the 2022 NFL season now in his near future, Rodgers seems like he’s going to make the most of his offseason with his nearest and dearest, including on-again girlfriend Shailene Woodley.

The couple, who reportedly ended their engagement in February, was spotted arriving in Florida on Tuesday, days after attending Bakhtiari’s wedding together.
