Brand new promo art from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teases the deadly Gargantos.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is on track to be one of Marvel Studios’ most unique films. After Spider-Man: No Way Home paved way for the possibilities of the multiverse, the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel is set to show off the madness of tampering with reality. The trailer for the film teased a variety of villains, including the villainous Kaiju Gargantos and the nefarious Strange Supreme.

While all eyes are on Strange Supreme as the sequel’s main baddie, we can’t help but think of how unique Gargantos is. The Marvel films have had their fair share of giant, cosmic villains, but Gargantos is unique in both design and structure. The trailer for the Doctor Strange sequel briefly teased the good doctor taking on the Kaiju and it’s surely set to be one epic fight.

A new poster found on Walmart puts the focus on Gargantos and his cosmic surroundings. The poster doesn’t provide any additional details but if we dig deep into comics, we learn that Gargantos is somewhat of a spin on Shuma-Gorath, a creature whose goal is to conquer the multiverse. It’s possible that Gargantos is a minion under Shuma-Gorath, who is really pulling the strings.

Benedict Cumberbatch last appeared as Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here is the synopsis:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in theaters. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned for all the future of the MCU,  and be sure to subscribe to Reporter Door’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
