The Duke Blue Devils have started the season strong and are ranked No. 2 in the country as they look to keep things rolling on Thursday against Appalachian State.
The Blue Devils have scored at least 79 points in seven of their nine games this season but must face an Appalachian State defense that has allowed 67 points or fewer in nine of its 11 games.
Appalachian State has done a good job of not giving the ball away, ranking 40th in the country with a turnover on just 15.6 percent of their possessions.
Duke is eighth in the nation in points scored on a per-possession basis but the Blue Devils can be found lower down the list at No. 86 in 3-point percentage at 35.7.
With Appalachian State holding opponents to 29.7 percent 3-point shooting and allowing opponents to rebound just 20.8 percent of their missed shots, which rates 32nd in the nation, the Mountaineers will give Duke a stiff test at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday.
