Florida woman searches for more Brian Laundrie remains: report

Almost three weeks after the remains of Brian Laundrie were found at a Florida nature reserve, a woman is continuing to scour the site for additional bones — spending five hours a day sifting through the swamp with a stick, according to a report.

A TikTok user with an account called chroniclesofolivia posted video of the unidentified woman at the Carlton Reserve, where she has spent the past 10 days searching for additional remains from Laundrie, the Sun reported.

“All it takes is for her to find the other part of his skull,” one person wrote on one of chroniclesofolivia’s clips.

The skeletal remains of the 23-year-old — the sole person of interest in the high-profile disappearance and death of his girlfriend, Gabby Petito, 22 — were found on Oct. 21, although the cause of death has yet to be determined.

The TikTok user, whose account boasts 1.2 million subscribers, claims that half of his remains were found, implying that additional bones are still mired in the 25,000-acre reserve in Sarasota County.

Not everyone agrees with the theory, with one user writing, “How do you know that half his remains are not recovered? LE (law enforcement) didn’t disclose,” according to the news outlet.

But some internet sleuths were intrigued by the possibility.

“All it takes is for her to find the other part of his skull,” one person wrote on one of chroniclesofolivia’s clips. “It could be a big break in the case since the cause of death is inconclusive.”

Petito was reported missing by her mother in Suffolk County on Sept. 11 after Laundrie returned home from the young couple’s cross-country trip 10 days earlier. The Blue Point native’s body was found at a Wyoming campground on Sept. 19.
