Forget the Tooth Fairy – In California, there is a wild tooth turkey on the loose.
A manager of a dental office at Fair Oaks near Sacramento got scared of her life this week when, out of the blue, a giant wild turkey crashed through its double-paned windows and wreaked havoc in the patient’s waiting room. Felt
Donna MacDonald, office manager at Gregory Haley DDS in Fair Oaks, was shocked when she first heard the noise.
“I thought it might be an earthquake,” he said Told Sacramento Bee.
When McDonald, who was the only person in the office at the time, investigated, he found large, agitated bird claws on the walls and scrambled.
“It tilts many walls upwards, where we are going to do, there will be repaint. McDonald said that some of the glass cuts off the glass dental chair … and we’ll need some deep cleaning.
The manager called animal control, which also had problems with the bird.
“As an amateur this bird had no quarrel. “The wildlife lady struggled with this,” McDonald said.
Treasurer Greg Grimm of Gold Country Wildlife Rescue told Sackby, “The turkey must have seen its own reflection in the window and attacked it while confusing it for a romantic rival in the midst of mating season for birds.”
