Giants could have targeted these players

Here are three players who can come up fast with NFL Free Agency 2021.

Corey Davis, WR

He did not hold up to his elevated draft status – No. 5 overall – by the Titans in 2017 – and that is not a true 1 goal. But at 6-foot-3 he would give the Giants a size reduction in this situation. He is also coming off a career-best season (65-984, five TDs) and will not spend nearly like Kenny Golladay.

Curtis Samuel, W.R.

He is a former Dave Gaeltman draft pick for the Panthers (second round, 2017) and will be a versatile addition. He had a career-best 77 receptions for 851 yards in 2020 and more than 40 designed runs for him. It is not a star of the Brooklyn native and is not in great shape, but could be a young replacement for the Golden Tate.

Trey Hendrickson, Day

Is it a 26-year-old ascending player or a one-year wonder? Hendrickson had 6.5 sacks in his first three seasons and exploded for 13.5 in 2020. The Saints are in true salary-cap hell and might not be able to maintain this roster on their roster. Their price will largely fall out of Giant range.
