The Giants have not exactly made splashes in free agency. They have made a few decent signings. They just don’t have any money to get much more than what they’ve got right now. They are in cap hell. They did go out and get a serviceable backup QB though, which means no more watching the likes of Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm put on a display of some of the worst offensive football in the history of the sport.

To talk about what the Giants did in the first week of NFL free agency, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz. One of the new team’s signings, offensive lineman Jon Feliciano, joined the show for a fantastic, hilarious interview. New York is gonna love this guy.

Blue Rush Podcast with Paul, Lawrence & Jake

  • TYROD TAYLOR: This was a great signing and they did not overpay. Giants badly needed to upgrade at QB, getting someone to compete with Daniel Jones and come in if Jones gets hurt, which he has every season.
  • GLOWINSKI/OFFENSIVE LINE: Mark Glowinski is coming in to become a starter. Feliciano is likely coming in to be the starting center. Giants got some nice pieces to upgrade the o-line, but there is more work to be done with the line in the draft.
  • BARKLEY: Tynes thinks the Giants should consider trading Saquon Barkley. Would it make sense to deal him? Matt Breida comes in to be the backup. Giants are only around $3 million under cap and still have to sign draft picks.

  • FOOD: Big chicken parm guy, favorite pizza spot in NY, owns a Ramen shirt.
  • CENTER: Loves playing center and being dialed in. Feels he will be the center here. Liked that Giants talked about him coming here to play center.
  • NY STATE OF MIND: Match made in heaven returning to the NY area where he grew up. Excited to bring his style of play to the table.
  • DABOLL: Ball buster, big jokester, New Yorker. He is a guy’s guy.
