Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora will compete in a bout in a bout at the AO Arena in Manchester, which will see one fighter close to the heavyweight title fight while the other may be outside the championship picture for the rest of their careers.
Chisora and Parker were originally set to fight on October 26, 2019. However, a spider bite made Parker ill and canceled the fight.
The fight is now back after 18 months, with both fighters at different locations in their respective careers.
It is being decided unanimously to defeat Oleskander Yusik last October. At age 37, he cannot afford back-to-back losses in an increasingly competitive division.
Parker last fought in a stunning decision win over Junior Fe in February. The former WBO champion did not make a particularly great performance, but was successful in making a wide-ranging decision.
With the heavyweight pecking order, neither Parker nor Chisora can be lost.
In the co-main event, undisputed women’s lightweight champion Katie Taylor will clinch her title against Natasha Jonas as she aims to be recognized as the world’s No. 1 women’s pound-for-pound fighter.
