One year ago, the Jets were 0-13 and appeared headed toward the No. 1 overall pick and a potential marriage to Clemson star quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Stories quickly began circulating about whether Lawrence should refuse to play for the Jets. Should he pull an Eli Manning? Should he avoid such a dysfunctional franchise at all costs?

We all know what happened after that. The Jets won two games and the Jaguars ended up with the top pick, where they selected Lawrence. The Jets took Zach Wilson one slot later.
