Zach Wilson is “feeling good” amid his recovery from a sprained PCL he suffered in Week 7 and had a little fun on Twitter.
The Jets rookie quarterback tweeted his health update on Thursday — the day after head coach Robert Saleh announced Joe Flacco as the starting QB for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Wilson’s tweet included a video that showed fourth grader Sam Holcomb throwing daggers during passing drills and showing off fast footwork.
The caption of the clip, shared by a fan, read: “Zach Wilson’s rehab appears to be ahead of schedule.”
The video was shared on Twitter by SportsCenter, and was posted to Instagram by Next Level Athletix, a quarterback development and training company.
Though Wilson will be on the sideline in Week 11, Saleh said the former BYU star did not suffer a setback and is continuing to progress in his rehab.
Mike White will serve as backup QB on Sunday following his four interception performance in the Jets’ 45-17 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
In his first career start, White completed 37 of his 45 attempts for 405 yards with three touchdowns and two picks in a 34-31 win over Cincinnati in Week 8. He had a strong performance in Week 9 against the Colts before he was sidelined with a forearm injury. That was followed by the loss to the Bills last week.
Flacco relieved White against Buffalo and completed all three of his throws for 47 yards, including a touchdown pass to Elijah Moore.
The Jets (2-7) play host to the Dolphins (3-7) on Sunday.
