Joe Biden is still not planning to go to the border in the midst of the crisis: W.H.

President Biden is still not planning to travel to the southern border, as illegal migrants cross the crossing and according to reports that the press has been barred from following detention facilities.

White House press secretary Jane Saki was asked if the president would visit the border, as his administration is spending significant resources for her trip to Pennsylvania and Georgia on the “Hope is Here” tour.

“I would say that their focus is on developing solutions, advancing their team, encouraging their team, developing solutions that will accelerate processing at the border, it will open up more facilities that enable children to deal with humanity. Will be done and treated safely ”Psaki said at a White House briefing on Monday.

“And that’s his focus, and that’s why he’s putting his efforts on immigration,” she said.

Further pressured as to whether the president would visit the crossing, Sosaki said that there were no plans for the visit.

He also said that the administration was still working on allowing cameras at border detention centers where thousands of children are being kept – a question that has come up in the briefing for weeks.

“We continue to support transparency,” she said. “I know that they are working through how to provide access in a way that follows the COVID protocol and also protects the privacy of those who are poor living in those facilities.”

Sasaki also refused to acknowledge that the situation on the border is a “disaster”, even as Biden authorized the Federal Emergency Management Agency to assist federal authorities with the increase of migrants.

“I know we’re always in the fun of being labeled here and there, but I would say our focus is on solutions, and this is one of the steps that the president realized, not in becoming the ultimate solution but speeding up the processing To help bring in, help ensure that people crossing the border have access to health and medical care, ”she said.

“Clearly the numbers are huge. This is a major challenge, and certainly a reflection of using every level of the federal government to help it figure out, ”she said.

“I would say that FEMA is there to help ensure that people who are on the border, who are coming from across the border” have access to health and human services shelters, he said.
