Headaches. Heartaches. Headsets. That sums up Monday night for the Giants. It also sums up the season thus far for (not so) Big Blue. A 2-6 record, terrible coaching, a lack of discipline, injuries and another season where they won’t reach the playoffs. Giants fans want answers, winning football and change. Changes might be exactly what’s coming in the offseason.

To talk about Monday’s 20-17 loss in Kansas City, discuss the state of the team and preview their matchup ahead with the Raiders, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz.

Blue Rush Podcast with Paul, Lawrence & Jake:

  • FRUSTRATING LOSS: Giants should have won the game, but bad teams find ways to lose. This team and coaching staff does not know how to win. The Chiefs were 31st in the NFL on defense and the Giants could only score 17 points. The play calling was too conservative. Defense deserves some credit for playing well.
  • INJURIES: The nonstop injuries are killing the team. Sterling Shepard is a good player, but he can never stay on the field. Kadarius Toney was on and off. Saquon Barkley missed yet another game. Can’t blame all the losses on injuries, but this team needs to have their starters on the field to win.
  • COACHING: The coaching staff has to take blame here. If the headsets have been an issue, figure out another way to communicate. Can’t be burning timeouts like that. Judge is 8-16 so far as Giants head coach. There are far too many penalties with this team. The tough guy Judge mantra is not being shown by his players.
  • GIANTS-RAIDERS: The crew does not feel good about the Giants having any chance to beat the Raiders at MetLife Stadium Sunday. I was the only one to pick the Giants, because I think they get a few guys back from injury and the Raiders are due for a letdown game, especially coming to the East Coast.
  • TWEETS: The guys respond to tweets on the coaching staff, Dave Gettleman, the state of the team and the Giants’ primetime struggles.
