And mere hours after news of her breakup from Kanye West hit the internet Monday, Julia Fox moved on in spectacular style, making her catwalk debut during New York Fashion Week.
The “Uncut Gems” actress, 32, opened LaQuan Smith’s fall 2022 runway show in the ultimate revenge dress: a slinky, skintight black gown with long sleeves, a high neck and racy cutouts that framed her famous curves.
“Julia has been my girl from Day One,” Smith told WWD of his headline-making casting choice.
“Julia has been so supportive of me from my early days. She always comes to me for a nasty catsuit for a night out on the town and it just felt kind of pressy and gaggy and I was like, ‘let’s just do it.’”
Indeed, Fox memorably modeled one of the designer’s signature sheer onesies on the cover of Office Magazine in 2020.
While the actress would surely bristle at the comparison, it’s worth mentioning that Smith’s “unapologetically sexy” styles are also a favorite of Kim Kardashian’s; West’s estranged wife has worn multiple looks by the New York designer in recent years, from butt-baring jumpsuits to liquid-look gowns.
Now that Fox and Ye have gone their separate ways, we can’t wait to see what other high-fashion moments the “#1 hustler” has in the works.
