Justin Fields Told Epilepsy Fighting Teams Before 2021 NFL Draft

Justin Fields, one of the top quarterbacks available in the 2021 NFL Draft, appeared to the teams during the pre-draft process He is managing epilepsy, NFL Network reported on Wednesday.

The product of Ohio St. has not been affected on the football field by an alleged neurological condition, which could lead to seizures. The report also stated that his symptoms have steadily decreased in recent years and doctors believe he will carry it forward as members of his older family.

Fields, who finished the 2020 season as an offensive player for the Big Ten and was a unanimous first-team all-conference selection, is expected to be at least a top-five pick in the draft later this month. The Jets, who own the No. 2 pick, have noted Fields but are expected to take quarterback Zach Wilson from BYU.

The intrigue will begin at the No. 3 spot where the 49ers plan to select a quarterback along with Fields, Trey Lance and Mack Jones.
