Kamala Harris receives COVID-19 vaccine booster shot

Vice President Kamala Harris rolled up her sleeve for a third COVID-19 shot Saturday.

Harris took a seat on the faux White House set that has earned mockery this month to receive her booster jab from a member of the White House Medical Unit.

“Let’s get vaccinated and we will get through the pandemic,“ she told reporters during a two-minute appearance.

Vice President Harris received a third dose of the Moderna shot — which she also got in December and January.

“What we know at this point in our country, the vast majority … well over 90 percent of the people in an ICU or dying from COVID are unvaccinated,” she said.

While CDC rules restrict boosters to those over age 65 or suffering from high-risk medical conditions, Harris, 57, received one because her occupation calls for frequent travel, her office said.

Harris got a third dose of the Moderna shot — the same jab she initially received in December and January — despite last week’s CDC guidance approving a mix-and-match vaccine strategy.
