Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR is an ultra-valent comic with John Wick-look alike

In the early pages of BRZRKR Issue # 1, Keanu Reeves hit a man so hard that his head exploded, causing his right eye to fall out of the frame. A few days after that, his own body pierced through a bullet hole, Keanu broke a part of the other man’s rib and proceeded to stab him – and everyone else – to death with it. When the disgraced bone Sharp becomes dull, he kills the third person with his own hands.

This new 12-issue series from Boom Studios is some of the harshest violence I’ve ever seen in a comic. But it pays off, opening the window into the mind of a charming character with mysterious powers and an even more mysterious backstory. It’s like the characters Old guard Shown in the middle of the bus black Hawk Down, And I absolutely want to know more.

Who is making BZRKR?

Actor Keanu Reeves refreshes his role in Cyberpunk 2077, Here is the headliner. He has been involved in the making of this comic since the beginning, and featured prominently in the crowdfunding campaign that helped bring it to life. Backers invested more than $ 1.4 million in October, and another $ 400,000 since.

Joining Reeves as co-writer is Matt Kindt, the Eisner-Award nominee with Ron Garny’s art. Both share credit Justice league of america And Spider Man, among others. The color bill is controlled by Crabtree.

What is it BZRKR about?

BZRKR There is a story about a live weapon that is currently in employment with the United States Army that looks a terrible like Kinnow Reeves. With his long black hair fall, the hovering helicopter jumps the titular bursar, decorates the fusillade of small arms fire, and kills the soldiers with his bare hands.

But he feels really bad about it too.

Virtually every page of this 44-page first page is covered in blood, and the deaths I mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg. If the film were to be an adaptation, I think it would be hard to do justice to anything other than cladmation. The bodies do not shrink so much as they froth, their crispy insides turn into a cartoon spray. Keenu’s fist is like a widget inside a can of Guinness beer, but for the intestines.

Is BZRKR good?

The violence is ridiculous, but it is also artfully executed. This first issue as a whole, combined with the narrative overlay, is excellent.

There is a growing sense of uneasiness in this first issue as an anonymous voice interrogates the busterman. Eventually, we learn that this is the voice of his government-issued physician. That is not just to ensure that this taxpayer investment is ready to go for its next deployment. She is carefully, constantly probing deeply, trying to uncover what – and what – Besar really is. This is the part I’m really looking forward to seeing, and this character will need to be different than just another Punisher or Wolverine wannabe.

As far as the original stories are concerned, issue # 1 is just the obvious wind-up, but it has got a very good look. The pitch comes later on some of the next issues.

A panel that popped

My very favorite panel is the last one, which releases # 2. I will not spoil it for you here. Instead, here is sprung into action.
