Kenneth Cole ripped for defending brother-in-law Andrew Cuomo

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s famous fashion-designer brother-in-law, Kenneth Cole, is one of the lone voices defending him — arguing that his embattled relative deserves another chance, even in the wake of a damning sexual harassment probe.

The 67-year-old designer, who is married to Cuomo’s sister Maria, hailed his in-law for his work during the coronavirus pandemic — making no mention of the separate outrage of nursing home deaths.

“Do we all not remember the extraordinary clarity @govnycuomo brought everyone at a time of such confusion & despair and light at a time of such darkness,” Cole tweeted Thursday afternoon.

“Do people really feel that after 40 yrs of exemplary public service, ones [sic] legacy should be extinguished without due process?” he asked

Many followers were quick to accuse him of ignoring key facts to suit his argument.

“Is an investigation by the justice department not enough due process for you?” one follower asked, referring to the “independent and thorough” probe that New York Attorney General Letitia James on Tuesday said proved Cuomo harassed 11 women.

“Just want to clear this up for you: an independent investigation of an issue is quite literally due process,” Brooklyn poet Ryan Carson tweeted him.

Many needled Cole for suggesting this his brother-in-law went without due process given that a team of experienced lawyers had interviewed 179 witnesses.

“What do you mean without due process? he got a months-long AG investigation with a bunch of witnesses and an impeachment committee wrapping up an investigation,” another follower noted.

“And if he’s impeached he’ll be permitted to defend himself,” the Twitter user added.

Others suggested that the governor had been given plenty of chances, accusing Cole’s tweet of being in bad taste.

“Bro he killed thousands of old people and puffed up his chest on tv,” podcaster David Slavick replied to the fashion designer.

“Get a grip and some real heroes. You are embarrassing yourself.”
