Les Miles out in Kansas after LSU sexual harassment allegations surface

Following allegations of sexual harassment from his time at LSU last week, Les Miles lost his job as head football coach at Kansas.

The Jays announced that they partially agreed with Miles after two seasons with a 3–18 record late Monday night. He was placed on administrative leave on Friday as two reports commissioned by LSU in 2013 took time by Kansas to review the information.

“I am deeply disappointed for our university, fans and everyone involved with our football program,” Jeff Long, the school’s athletic director, said in a statement. This football team has young talent, and I have no doubt that we will identify the right person to lead the program. We will immediately begin the search for a new head coach with an outside firm to assist in this process. We need to win the football game, and that’s what we’re going to do.

An inquiry commissioned by the LSU that the public did last week said Miles, the school’s head football coach from 2005-16, has been accused of SMSing female students, making them feel uncomfortable, alone with them in their condo Going, and once a student kisses her, she goes with him to a hotel after his car suggests to him that she can help him in his career.

The 67-year-old Miles woman denied kissing, but admitted driving alone with him, according to the report. He has said that he was only referring to the young women in the school. Miles coached the Tigers until he was fired after a 2–2 start to the 2016 season, but Joavela – LSU’s former athletic director – recommended Miles be fired in 2013. Miles is looking for a job again.

“It’s definitely a difficult day for me and my family,” Miles said in a statement. “I love the young people at this university and our football program. I have really enjoyed being the head coach at KU and I know that it is in a better place now than when I arrived. To our student-athletes, I want you to remember that you came to play for KU and earned a degree here. So, we told you to stay on about the things we started and all the things that we started. There is a bright future for all of you and for KU Football. “

Miles ‘attorney, Peter Ginsburg, on Sunday spoke out against Kansas’ decision to keep his client on administrative leave and ripped LSU’s response to sexual harassment claims.

“Before the report was released this week, Kansas was provided with critical information supporting Taylor Porter’s conclusion,” Ginsburg said in a statement on Saturday, According to USA Today. He said, ‘KU also worked hard before hiring coach Miles.

“Kansas’ decision to impose Les Miles on an administrative leave is both disturbing and unfair. Failing to recognize that a person’s career should not be compromised without accusations, e.g. higher educational institutions Must conform to an institution. “
