Luis Rojas Managing Mets Out of Playoff Race

Luis Robas. Domo arigato, Mr. Rojaso. Luis Rojas has been a robot in the Mets dugout. It seems every move he makes is based on analytics and matchups. There is no feel for the game. That was on full display on Tuesday night, a loss that essentially put the dagger in the Mets’ playoff hopes. The second-year manager handed the Cardinals the game on a silver platter. Baffling decision after baffling decision in a season full of them, in a season full of one-run losses, especially in the past month.

It felt like the nail in the coffin in a game that could have gotten the Mets within 2.5 games of the playoffs. There is no feel for the game going on with his decision making. Can’t be soft and plan for the offseason. There has to be a sense of urgency right now.
• PLAYOFFS: It will take a miracle. There’s a lot of scoreboard watching, but the Mets have to go out and win games. Is there any chance they sneak in?
• STEVE COHEN: What is going on with his latest tweets? Not the best time or place to be tweeting about sources when the team just got swept.
