MacOS 11.3 update includes a massive security patch and new emoji

Apple has released iOS 14.5 as well as MacOS 11.3. It’s probably worth updating your Mac as soon as possible – not only because it comes with some new features, including improvements to running the iPhone and iPad apps on the M1 Mac, and updates to Apple Music and Podcasts, But it also fixes a big security flaw.

New Allegedly a vulnerability patch Allows to bypass many of the malware’s built-in defenses, such as the file Quarantine and Gatekeeper’s initial dialog boxes. While Apple may have a built-in anti-malware system Still block malicious programs if Apple knew about them, Enterprise software company Gemph, found evidence that security flaws Was being exploited by the attackers.

Apple too Gives information about other security reforms Which are included with the latest update on its security update page. Catalina and Mojave Security patches have also been received for those who have not yet updated Big Sur.

In addition to security updates, the biggest new improvement to 11.3 (at least for M1 Mac owners) is the ability to resize iPhone and iPad app windows. Apple has also added keyboard, mouse and trackpad support to the game which is compatible with controllers.

The Infinity symbol in the queue controls the autoplay feature.

Apple has also added autoplay to the music app – a feature that is great or annoying depending on your mood. When you reach the end of a song or playlist, Apple Music will continue to play music that it thinks is the same (thankfully, it can be turned off if you only want to listen to a specific song). News and podcast apps have made pages easier to use again (with the former getting a retrieved search feature – something that’s exciting to me, and possibly no one else).

The update includes several features in iOS 14.5: Find My App, the ability to track airtags using new emoji and Siri voices, and support for Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5. You can go to apple’s site See full list of updates and features.
