Man randomly kills woman in face in brutal NYC attack

Police said Saturday that a 60-year-old woman was randomly killed by a man in the Bronx this week.

The unconscious woman was walking around East Tremont Avenue, near Samuel Young Park, on the edge of Parkchester, around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, when an unknown person approached her from behind, patted her on the shoulder and cut her off when she turned . Police said forehead and eyes without a word.

Police said the suspect fled westbound on East Tremont in East Grave Civic, toward the passenger on the front end of the vehicle.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where he had to take 18 stitches to close the wound, police said.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect, with police saying it is about 5’6 tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

Police have released a photo of the vehicle used for the attacker’s escape.
