Matt Getz aide expected to plead guilty in federal case

Joel Greenberg, a former Florida official implicated in the federal investigation by Rep. Matt Getz, is expected to plead guilty to criminal charges next week – potentially a spelling trouble for the embattled Republican Congress.

Greenberg, 37, will appear in federal court in Orlando, Florida on Monday to hear the plea, according to court documents.

The petition will resolve some of the charges against Greenberg, a former Seminole County tax collector who has been charged with sexual trafficking of a child, aggravated identity theft and wire fraud.

Greenberg had been working for weeks toward an agreement with federal prosecutors.

His plea indicates that he may possibly serve as a witness in Gaze’s Justice Department investigation, which is being investigated in a possible sexual trafficking case of a minor.

According to reports, federal prosecutors are investigating whether Greenberg and Getz paid underage girls or gave them gifts in exchange for sex.

Getz has not been charged with any crime and has denied any wrongdoing.

Charges against Greenberg include sending anonymous letters to a school where a political opponent acted and falsely accused him of an indictment filed against him, accusing him of sexual misconduct with a student.

He was charged in August for sexual trafficking of a girl between the ages of 14 and 17 and was using a state database to look up information about minors and others with whom he was in “sugar daddy” relationships Was involved

Joel Greenberg left federal court in Orlando last year after his first appearance after his indictment on a federal dismissal charge.
