Michael Irvin was all about the Cowboys on Thursday night

Michael Irvin, 55, still has the energy of a bull, and it was on full display on behalf of his beloved Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.

Irvin shared a video of himself telling Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb to go do “88 type thing[s] on the field tonight” ahead of the nationally television matchup against the Saints in New Orleans.

No. 88 holds a special place in the lineage of Cowboys receivers from Irvin to Dez Bryant and currently Lamb.

The motivational tactics worked, as Lamb had seven catches for 89 yards to go with a 33-yard rush.

Annie Apple, mother of Bengals defensive back and former Giant and Saint Eli Apple, was in a suite at the Superdome in New Orleans. Irvin crashed the suite, boisterously, telling Saints fans that they should be “good neighbors” and let the Cowboys win.

Irvin was on site as an analyst for NFL Network.

Dallas wound up winning the game 27-17. If Irvin lives to be 100 years old, he will assuredly still be loudly holding court at Cowboys games.
