Moment (M) Force MagSafe Accessory Review

There is nothing better than Tech that just works. The relief that comes from transferring files via airdrop is when a new pair of wireless earbuds automatically come to the phone screen and ask to connect without opening Bluetooth settings. These moments are still rare, but when they do it feels like I am actually living in the future that was promised to me. One of uninterrupted connections and endless possibilities.

And iPhone’s MagSafe (not to be confused with older MacBook MagSafe, RIP), it just works.

The MagSafe accessories of the moment are stainless steel discs with mantle finish.

Moment lenses can be attached through a motion case.

Even with a metal and glass moment lens attached, my iPhone is firmly attached to the mount.

Moment, which is well known for its high-quality phone lenses and cases, has always had a strong focus on creating products for the photo or photo maker. And its new line MagSafe stuff has something for all levels of creativity. There is a way to attach almost anything to an iPhone 12 or later, from a car vent mount to a multi-threaded mount to attach other accessories. More importantly, you can mount more things on the phone through Moment accessories. The range starts at $ 19.99 for a basic wall mount puck and goes up to $ 59.99 for a tripod mount adapter.

The moment-to-moment line of MagSafe accessories lets you connect your iPhone 12 or 12 Pro to a variety of things, including a tripod or other camera gear. They make their phones easier to use or remove thanks to the use of stronger magnets.

Apple’s own MagSafe wallet accessory did not provide enough notorious power to stay attached to the back of the iPhone when the device was taken out of pocket. And if you have used a MagSafe charger, you might think that these magnets are not strong enough to place your device on the tripod in front of you. But Moment developed its (M) force magnet array that claims to use “custom tuned magnets” with “grippy back pads” for added strength to boost the holding power of Apple’s base system .

I stored these MagSafe mounts on the side of a metal filing cabinet.

When I received these mounts, I attached them to the outside of my metal filing cabinet for safekeeping and was pleasantly surprised at how hard it was to pull them off the side of the cabinet when I went to use them. And in my testing, my phone clung to the mounts, regardless of what type they were. The phone was easy to pull from these mounts, too; Damages the device with a turn.

Moments MagSafe accessories work on bare iPhone 12 or later or in a MagSafe-compatible case. With MagSafe was able to test Moment’s iPhone 12 Pro thin case and it was as strong as a bare phone. Moment cases allow you to connect your lens lineup to your camera wide and telephoto sensors. Pall has also incorporated the MagSafe technology into the Galaxy S21 lineup cases, which you can now preorder for $ 49.99, and should provide the same experience as the iPhone’s built-in magnets.

Moment’s car vent magacef mount is $ 39.99.

Even on gravel roads, my iPhone 12 Pro Moment’s car vent remained firmly attached to the Magacef mount.

Moment currently offers a sticky wall mount, a car vent mount, a cold shoe mount, a cold shoe and ations ”thread mount in both portrait and landscape orientation, a mount” thread mount, and a multi-thread mount. The puck itself finishes with a stainless steel matte. They are just the right amount of heavy volume: they feel durable and are ready for action while maintaining a very strong magnetic connection while the iPhone 12 Pro I was using.

The best part about using these mounts, and the massive MagaSafe, is the ease of being able to quickly place your phone and pull it out of various accessories. I am used to using mounts that hold the edges of my phone. For example, mounting my phone to a tripod means attaching it to the first mount, which is a two-step process: first the phone goes into the mount, then you need to mount the phone to the mount. The sides have to be closed. None of this process seemed too much of a problem until I had to do it anymore.

Each mount has an eraser, which is held back to keep your phone protected and attached.

Being able to basically pull your phone from any tripod, even with a light or mic attached through a cold shoe, is a time-saving, hassle-free experience that I didn’t know That I needed. I actually toss my phone on the puck and I’m ready to go. And it’s great to know that I could answer the phone mid-tech, without putting a whole rig up to my ear with it.

Moments MagSafe accessories are available now, although some of the line is currently on backorder.
