Police and FBI agents responded to the active hostage situation at Wells Fargo Bank in Minnesota on Thursday evening.
A tense scene ensued at the St. Cloud Bank branch Thursday afternoon, According to NBC affiliate KRE 11.
No one was reported injured, but several bank employees were placed inside the building, police told the station at 5:15 am Central Daylight Time.
“Cloud negotiations are underway,” St. Cloud police allegedly said Lt. Lori Allering in an urgent news release.
“The situation remains an active phenomenon. An unknown number of bank employees are being taken hostage there. There are no reports of injuries. The SCPD and FBI are working together on the incident and with SWAT resources on the scene. “
According to the report, it is unclear how many mortgages and suspects are inside the bank.
A Fargo spokesperson from Wales said, “We believe this is a painful moment for the community and our partners.”
“Safety of our customers and employees is our most important priority.”
The report stated that the photos surrounded the Wells Fargo branch with police cars, and witnesses said the SWAT team was at every entrance to the building.
