NYC shootout in broad daylight caught on video in the Bronx

Two men opened fire at each other in a wild, broad-daylight shooting in the Bronx Thursday afternoon that was captured on surveillance camera.

The gunman exchanged several rounds in the middle of the street as cars were passing by on East 164 Street near Grant Avenue at about 4:15 p.m., according to police.

At least five shots were fired, according to audio of the shootout, setting off a car alarm on the block.

No injuries were reported, police said. But one of the bullets struck the window of a nearby apartment and another hit the windshield of a parked car.

The gunmen remained at large as of early Friday.
