A new image from Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight series teases the titular hero’s Mr. Knight persona.

The latest issue of Empire Magazine puts the spotlight at Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight series, which is now less than two months away from its premiere on the Disney Plus streaming service. Empire recently offered fans a first look at its stunning Moon Knight covers and now the site has dropped a never-before-seen image from the highly-anticipated series, showing Isaac suited up as Mr. Knight, one of the titular character’s personalities. Check out the image below.

Created by Warren Ellis and Declan Shalvey, Mr. Knight made his debut in the pages of the duo’s highly-acclaimed 2014 Moon Knight run. He’s one of Moon Knight’s most recent personas and is usually depicted wearing a white suit instead of a hood and cape.

Speaking with Empire, Marvel’s Kevin Feige promised that the family-friendly nature of Disney Plus won’t affect Moon Knight’s portrayal on the series, teasing that Oscar Isaac’s take on the character is “brutal.”

“It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”

In the comics, Marc Spector, a.k.a. Moon Knight, was a CIA agent-turned-mercenary making millions. During his last mercenary job in Cairo, Spector was left for dead by a former colleague. He dragged himself through the sands of the desert to the tomb of Konshu, the Egyptian moon god. There he was pronounced dead but resurrected at the hands of Konshu. The resurrection took a toll, however, as he developed multiple personality disorder. When he returned to New York, Spector created two new personalities — Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. Grant was the millionaire womanizer while Lockley was a cab driver.

It was after developing his other personalities that Spector took on the mantle of Moon Knight. Konshu granted Spector with increased physical capabilities and periodic prophetic visions at night, yet even Spector himself was unsure whether Konshu was yet another personality of his own creation. Even still, Moon Knight operates with an arsenal of technology, vehicles and costumes to suit his needs.

Starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy, Moon Knight is set to make its Disney Plus debut on March 30th.  Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming Disney Plus series and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
