Pre-metropolitan opera conductor James Levine dies at age 77

Reportedly, James Levine, a longtime former of the Metropolitan Opera, was born in Palm Springs, California.

His March 9 death was confirmed by his physician, Dr. Len Horowitz did it on Wednesday morning. The New York Times reported.

The cause of death was not immediately released.

Levine – who was the mastermind of the Metropolitan Opera for more than 40 years – was one of the world’s most acclaimed conductors until allegations of sexual abuse and harassment derailed his career.

The Post reported in 2017 that Levine molested a teenager for years after meeting at a concert near Chicago.

Levine was suspended from the famous Opera House shortly after starting the investigation. He was later fired.
