Reilly Opelka arrived in style to the U.S. Open on Thursday, but the question has become whether his belongings included a checkbook, too.

Opelka, the second highest-ranked American man behind John Isner, was fined $10,000 by the USTA for an “unapproved bag.”

The logos on his pink tote bag, which he brought onto the court before his second-round victory over Lorenzo Musetti, were too large.

“US Open ticket sales must be strugglin this year,” Opelka wrote on Twitter on Friday, adding a rolled-eyes emoji. “10k for a pink bag, at least it looked fly.”

When a Twitter user tried to shame him about the bag, which featured the name of an art gallery in Belgium, Opelka said he will “grow up next summer.”

Ranked No. 24 in the world, Opelka is set to face off with Nikoloz Basilashvili on Saturday with a shot at advancing to the Round of 16.
