‘RHOC’ reunion held up after ‘Project Runway’ star botches dress

It was a real fashion faux pas.

The drama of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” reunion began before the taping even began, Page Six Style can exclusively reveal.

Shannon Beador commissioned “Project Runway” star Bones Jones, whom she met while serving as a model and muse on the reality series, to design her reunion dress — but the result was anything but what Beador wanted or expected, sources tell Page Six Style exclusively.

“Shannon really clicked with Bones while they were filming and wanted to support him by wearing a custom dress by him to the reunion,” the insider dished. “She flew him out to California on her dime, put him up in a nice hotel and took him to dinner. When it came time for him to show her the gown, it was a complete mess.”

The source told us that the dress Bones, 30, presented to Beador, 57, was a “horrific yellow” that didn’t stretch like she wanted and revealed “every wrinkle.” It also draped across the bodice and gathered at the side, which would have only accented Beador’s midsection.

The dress, which presumably will never see the light of day, included yellow netting that made Beador look like she had “been caught in an avocado bag.”

“It was one of the ugliest reunion dresses,” our insider shared. “Nothing was finished, the hem was fraying everywhere.”

We’re told the “House O Bones” designer did very little to fix his creation, leaving Beador having spent “thousands of dollars” for no results. The source also said production told the Real for Real founder that her dress was unusable and sent a member of the team to her house to grab something from her closet while another PA went to a local store to buy a dress, which is she what she ended up wearing.

Notably, all of the “Housewives” have outfit designer credit on Bravo Insider, whereas Beador solely has “styling: Bones” listed underneath her photo.

The taping ended up filming nearly two hours behind schedule.

“Normally production would be annoyed about delays like this, but it was completely out of her control,” our source shared. “She was so distraught and felt so bad. It was all on Bones. He dropped the ball.”

Our source also said that instead of acting apologetic, Bones put on one of Beador’s gowns from her personal collection and modeled it like he was “on the runway” and was snapping selfies.

Reps for Bravo, Beador and Bones didn’t immediately return Page Six Style’s requests for comment.
