When Mac Jones took the field Sunday for his first ever Pro Bowl, the Patriots quarterback had his biggest cheerleader in the stands.
Ahead of kickoff Sunday, Sophie Scott revealed that she had joined Jones, 23, in Las Vegas, where the rookie quarterback participated in the NFL’s all-star event.
“Surprise! Another game day let’ go #10,” Scott posted to her Instagram Story as she modeled a cap supporting the AFC.
In addition to Jones, who was selected 15th overall by the Patriots in last year’s draft, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert of the Chargers will also serve as the AFC’s quarterbacks.
Scott has supported Jones at a number of games this season, including the Patriots’ wild-card loss to the Bills in Buffalo last month. After Jones’ first NFL season came to a close, Scott posted a sweet tribute to the Alabama product.
“Rookie year ✔️ I’m so proud of you!” Scott wrote on Instagram in January, to which Jones responded, “Just Getting Started.”
Jones was part of an NFL Draft class that included quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance and Justin Fields. He finished the regular season with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Though the 2022 NFL season is still some time away, Jones will be working with a new offensive coordinator after the departure of Josh McDaniels to the Raiders. Former Jets coach Adam Gase has been linked to recent rumors about the vacancy.
