Two suspects were arrested Sunday in connection to the road rage shooting that killed a 6-year-old boy on a California highway, a report said.

Eriz Marcus Anthony, 24, and Lee Wynn, 23, were busted at their Costa Mesa home and are expected to be charged with murder in the May 21 death of Aiden Leos, CBS LA reported, citing the California Highway Patrol.

Aiden was being driven to school by his mother, Joanna Cloonan, on 55 Freeway when they were cut off by a white sedan.

Cloonan has said as she “merged” away from the vehicle, she heard a loud noise before discovering her son had been shot.

“I pulled over and I took him out of the car and I tried to put my hand on his wounds while calling 911. Because he was losing a lot of blood,” the mother told “Good Morning America.”

The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
