Police said Wednesday that a 13-year-old Asian boy was attacked on a Queens basketball court, throwing a basketball over his head while shouting “go back to China” in an apparent bias crime.
Police and police sources said the teenager was playing ball at 142-20 Barclay Avenue in Bonnie Park.
A teenager pushed the Asian boy to the ground and they all started throwing balls together, hitting him on the head.
The victim told the police that the teenager then said: “Stupid, f-Chinese. Go back to your country.”
The victim’s mother took her to Flushing Hospital, where she was treated.
Police said the Hate Crime Task Force of the NYPD was investigating.
