It is always strange to remember that Angelina Jolie once won an Oscar. How weird is it to miss angelina jolie? Billy wore a blood bottle of Bob Thornton Wherever she went.
The 45-year-old actress has had a difficult journey from Hollywood wild-child to Madonna-Acus globe-trotting activist. His films, by contrast, have been a more consistent abstinence-than-fair.
Here are some of Jolie’s best performances – and some we’d love to forget.
“Girl, interrupted” (1999)
At the age of 24, Jolie established a pattern she often repeated – being the best part of a meh film. In “Girl, Interrupted”, she plays the role of a similar, unpredictable sociopath in a mental hospital, enabling Winona Ryder’s character by encouraging her to stop taking medals. She screams and laughs and kicks and scratches and smokes. It is an electric performance that won her only the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. During A promotional appearance on “Late Night with Kanan O’Brien” Jolie was a witch girl with blue hair who can remember anything now. “I don’t think you’re as decent as you sound,” she told Flirtley O’Brien. “Everyone needs to be more than they are. I think we are all repressed, a little repressed. We are all a little behind.
“Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” (2001)
Meet Angelina Jolie: Action Star. Sealing him as an A-lister who could take big-budget films was his role as a sex video game archaeologist with deadly intent. But Fauladi, the unswerving character, also foresaw Jolie’s softening. In a chain behind Lara’s eyes, there was nothing but the Jakdi actress.
“Original Sin” (2001)
The film is aptly named. It is considered by some to be the worst Jolie film ever, it has got a 12 percent rating. rotten Tomatoes And there is a sultry poster that looks like it was stolen from a Cinemax dumper. She plays the role of Om, a mail order bride from Delaware, brought to Cuba to woo a wealthy friend, played by Antonio Banderas. In one scene, another man catches him on the stairs and as he struggles to be free, he whispers, “It tickles my D-K when you beg.” And they say romance is dead!
“Changeling” (2008)
The period picture directed by Clint Eastwood was Jolie’s last decent film (I refuse to count “Kung Fu Panda”). He got Oscar permission for this, and it’s no surprise – he pulled out all the stops. The mother, who plays a mother, believes her son has been locked up with a different boy – and who the police think is a loner – is sent to a sanatorium and is given a dramatic electroshock. Therapy is given. What if the wrong electrocution does not get you an Academy Award nomination?
“The Tourist” (2010)
This romance-comedy-drama-thriller has new relevance this week in MissMate – as the critically-fired film was mysteriously nominated for three 2011 Golden Globe Awards. It was just announced that the infamous Batty Awards show would not air on NBC next year due to a boycott due to lack of diversity. Maybe he should have canceled the show after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association deemed Jolie and Johnny Depp – both terrible – worthy of the “best” title.
‘By the Sea’ (2015)
Part 2 in Jolie’s “The Brad Pitt Collection” was clearly different from Part 1. 2005 “Mr.” And Mrs. Smith – a fun action comedy – where the two stars’ affair began, leading to Pitt’s shocking breakup of marrying Jennifer Aniston. He married Jolie in 2014, and has six children. But his second film, “By the Sea,” was, as The Post’s Lou Lumenich wrote, “dramatically humbly, humorous.” Like their marriage, Which which Finish Four years later.
