The judge presented the plastic surgeon’s petition in a virtual trial from the operating room

Maybe they expected the court to take a pinch and cut their traffic ticket?

A Sacramento, California, plastic surgeon appeared via Videocon Live on Thursday with a patient at the table from his operating room for a traffic test.

But the judge did not have it.

With medical machinery in the background, Scott Greene appeared in his surgical scrubs and masks in front of Sacramento Superior Court Commissioner Gary Link’s virtual courtroom, in which his patient underwent a visualization process, Sacramento Bee reported.

When a court clerk asked if he was ready to go further, Green replied that he is, but Link refused to proceed with the multitasking doctor.

“So as long as I am not mistaken, I am seeing a defendant who is actively engaged in the middle of an operating room to provide services to a patient. Is that right, Mr. Green? Or do I like Dr. Should say Green? ”Link asked on the video, which was open to the public by law.

The incident was the latest bizarre moment born out of remote work. Earlier this month, an attorney’s inability to remove a cat’s filter from its zoom during a virtual court hearing went viral, following which Tom Emmer of Minnesota stuck upside down during a virtual committee hearing went.

But when those events caused laughter, Link turned it down.

“I do not feel comfortable for the welfare of a patient, if you are in the process of operating, I will test, despite the fact that the officer is here today,”.

Green tried to reassure him and said that another surgeon was working with him, but Link said it was not appropriate and set a different date for the test.

Later doctor NBC News claimed Sacramento Bee’s account was incorrect, but instead of explaining what was wrong, he ended the call.

The California Medical Board said it was aware of the incident and would be looked into. The board said that it expects physicians to follow the standard of care when treating their patients.
