Carlos Carrasco caught his first bullpen session after a delay in spring training, in which he was working with catcher James McCain. The right-handed veteran said he believes he should still have enough time to prepare for the start of the regular season.

‘D’ is performing

The Mets’ fundamental focus on Sunday was working on the cutoff and relay from the outfield. This is part of the defensive effort that he hopes will progress this season.

caught my eye

Al Leiter, a baseball operations consultant for the Mets, arrived at the camp on Sunday and spent time talking in the back fields with owner Steve Cohen and President Sandy Alderson.

Monday show

The Grapefruit League play with a road game against the Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter.
