After a rocky start to the season at the plate, the Detroit Tigers enter Sunday’s clash with the Indians as the top offense in MLB since the beginning of July, and they get to face rookie Eli Morgan.

Tigers starter Tyler Alexander began the season in the bullpen, but recently got moved to the rotation. Detroit is 5-1 in his six starts, and he has allowed two runs or fewer in five of them.

The Tigers entered the series averaging 5.2 runs per game since July began, up from 3.9 runs per game previously. The Indians have the third-worst ERA in the AL since the beginning of July (5.14).

The Indians are allowing an AL-worst 1.8 home runs per nine innings since the beginning of July and Detroit enters the series 6-3 in their past nine games, so the Tigers will continue their winning ways.
