She wants to buy an owl!
On Tuesday, a “Wheel of Fortune” contestant became the first person to win a home in a game show – a sign of a confetti-fueled celebration that ended with co-host Vanna White suffering a head injury.
Sixth-grade teacher Laura Trammell of Mission Vizo, California, had already won a $ 23,690 prize when she solved the puzzle – “I caught a glimpse” – during the bonus round Footage shows.
She won a new pad in the Latitude Margaritaville community of Daytona Beach, Florida – valued at $ 375,000 – bringing her total prize money to a sky-high $ 398,690.
“This is just insane!” Host Pat Sajak told Trummel that Confetti was shot on stage at the celebration.
But one of the pieces of confetti hit White in the head during a cheerful moment.
When the show returned from a commercial break, Sajak told the audience that Confetti had taken out White’s eye.
“First thing, let me tell you that, when you won, Vanana was running on the stage, and the confetti came out, [she] A stroke of confetti caused a head injury! “
“Thank you, it wasn’t my eye,” White replied – prompting Sajak to make excuses, “you could get your hands out!”
The 64-year-old renowned letterwriter eventually left with serious injuries. And Trammel was over the moon about the historic win, which was the show’s “home sweet home” giveaway this week.
“I am beyond excited, I am still in shock. I still can’t believe it happened.
