Traditionally, four teams play on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” to open the NFL season. Typically, the games pit potential playoff contenders — or at least teams with playoff aspirations — against one another in a meaningful, early-season prime-time game.
This year, however, things are a bit different. The NFL will not be hosting a Monday night doubleheader for the first time since 2006. Instead of airing an early game at 7:10 p.m. ET and a late game at 10:15 p.m. ET, ESPN will air just one starting at 8:15 p.m. ET, the normal start time for “Monday Night Football.”
As a result, there are just two teams playing on Monday night. Nonetheless, fans will be treated to an intriguing matchup as the Ravens, who have made the playoffs in three consecutive seasons, take on Jon Gruden’s Raiders.

Who plays on ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight?

The Raiders are finally getting a chance to play in front of fans in their new, Las Vegas stadium. Allegiant Stadium, known affectionately as the Death Star, will allow fans in to watch the Raiders try to earn an upset victory over the Ravens.
The Ravens are considered the better team in this matchup. They have a strong running game and coach John Harbaugh has won five consecutive Week 1 contests.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are hoping their defensive additions of Yannick Ngakoue, KJ Wright and Casey Hayward will help plug up a leaky stop unit. If that doesn’t happen, their offense may have to go blow for blow with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

What time is the NFL game tonight?

- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
The first “Monday Night Football” game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET, the same start time for all “Monday Night Football” games during the 2021 NFL season. There is no doubleheader this year, so the Ravens vs. Raiders game will be the only game to air on Monday and will be the last contest played of the week.

What channel is ‘Monday Night Football’ on tonight?
“Monday Night Football” will air on both ESPN and ABC to kick off the season. Steve Levy (play-by-play), Brian Griese (color commentary) and Louis Riddick (analyst) will man the booth for the second consecutive year while Lisa Salters works the sidelines.
ESPN will have an alternate stream to watch if you’d like a change of pace from that booth. Peyton Manning and Eli Manning will host a MegaCast for the game on ESPN2. That will also air on ESPN+ as well.
Streamers will be able to watch the game via Watch ESPN, the ESPN app or by using fuboTV, which comes with a seven-day free trial.
In Canada, viewers can watch the Ravens vs. Raiders contest on DAZN, which has rights to every NFL game.
NFL live stream for ‘Monday Night Football’
Because “Monday Night Football” is aired on ESPN, it will be available to stream live on all of the team’s digital platforms (ESPN.com, ESPN App, etc.). This will be the easiest way for viewers with cable or satellite to view the game.
Cord-cutters also have plenty of options with which they can stream “Monday Night Football” during the 2021 NFL season.
