He’s streaming on more than just Netflix.
After years of swirling rumors, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally addressed his old comments about urinating in water bottles while working out. The “Jumanji” actor first leaked word of his bizarre habit in a 2017 Instagram video but didn’t go into pee-tail until a recent Esquire interview.
“I do pee in my water bottles but let me give context to that,” the 49-year-old action icon told the outlet. “It’s not a water bottle that I’ve actually purchased solely for water that you wash and clean when you’re done using it. These are just bottles that I’m no longer using.”
Using drinking vessels as Porta Potties might sound slovenly. However, as Johnson explained, “Usually the gyms that I work out in don’t have a bathroom because they’re the iron paradise. They’re just hot, sweaty and dirty.”
“I break out the bottle,” added the “Skyscraper” star, who admitted having to relieve himself frequently because he likes to stay “pretty hydrated” throughout the day.
Elsewhere in the interview, Johnson dispelled rumors that his “legendary” cheat meals, which he chronicles on social media, are just for show.
“I do really have cheat days. They’re not just for Instagram,” The Rock maintained. “I bring new meaning to the term gluttony. I’m pretty disciplined throughout the week in terms of my working out, in terms of my diet and, when Sunday rolls around, it’s time to go to town.”
The “Walking Tall” star has always been a fitness freak; however, he ramped up his exercise regimen this year to prepare for the titular role in the superhero flick “Black Adam,” which is slated for a 2022 release.
Johnson also stars in the comedy caper “Red Notice,” which premiered on Netflix Friday. The muscleman hilariously promoted the film Wednesday by erecting a billboard roasting co-star Ryan Reynolds over his supposed streaming habits.
