28-year-old man shoots snaps in the Bronx

Police said a 28-year-old man was shot in the Bronx late Monday evening.

Kops said Anthony Castillo exploded in the torso just before 11 a.m. on Morris Avenue near East 181 Street in Fordham Heights.

Castillo, who lived in the Longwood neighborhood, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The motive for the murder was unclear.

Police sources said six .40 caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
