Police said a 78-year-old woman was murdered inside a Queens home.
Authorities said the victim, Maria Diaz, was discovered by police with a deep wound to her head inside an apartment on Hillside Avenue near 219th Street in Queens Village.
Police sources said a body was recovered at the scene.
Sources said that the police is investigating the murder as a domestic incident.
There was no immediate arrest.
