Florida man accused of killing two of his dogs

A Florida man allegedly left his two dogs to eat furniture as they starved to death, a report states.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said 33-year-old suspect David Fritch Jr. “literally killed him over a period of several weeks,” according to clickorlando.com.

“This is the worst absolute case of animal cruelty I’ve ever seen in my 40 years as a policeman,” Ivey said in the Facebook Livestream in the case.

The report stated that Fritts was jailed on two counts of animal cruelty on Wednesday, allegedly keeping the dogs locked up in a bedroom in his Canaveral Groves area.

The sheriff said a necropy found plastic pieces of plastic, plastic bottles, band-aids and wooden bags on the furniture.

According to the arrest report obtained by the outlet, Fritsch allegedly confessed to police that he did not feed the animals.
