When the Cubs begin their regular season next spring — assuming the MLB lockout has ended — Clint Frazier’s fiancée will be ready to go.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Kaylee Gambadoro posted a photo of herself rocking a Cubs cap, days after her future husband agreed to a one-year deal with Chicago. The deal is worth $1.5 million with another $1 million in incentives, according to MLB Network.
Frazier, an outfielder who spent the past five seasons with the Yankees, was designated for assignment by the club in November and later released. He had last played for the Yankees on June 30 due to undisclosed medical issues.
With Frazier, 27, now getting a fresh start in the windy city, both Gambadoro and the couple’s fans are excited about their next chapter.
“NY will miss Clint but can’t wait to see the journey continue in Chi! Best wishes to you both ?,” one Instagram follower posted on Gambadoro’s page Thursday, while another penned, “We will miss Clint so much, but so happy for you guys! Great team. Great city! ❤️⚾️❤️”
As for Gambadoro, who has been engaged to Frazier since July, she also celebrated the news in a video set to Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”
“When your fiancé signs with a team that your best friends bf plays on and is in the city you went to college in,” she posted to the clip.
Between wedding planning, a new team, and the upcoming launch of Gambadoro’s lifestyle site, KaleChipHealthandWellness.com, the future Mr. and Mrs. Frazier have lots to look forward to as the new year nears.
