Cuomo’s news conference ‘full of lies’: prosecutor’s lawyer

Andrew Cuomo’s remarks on Wednesday were “replete with lies and misinformation” – including his denial in which he ever “touched someone improperly,” one of his allegations said by attorneys.

Debra Katz also said that the formal complaint filed by her client – former Cuomo colleague Charlotte Bennett – lied to Cuomo’s claim that she never knew she was uncomfortable with anyone’s conduct.

“The governor’s press conference was full of lies and misinformation, and New Yorkers deserve better,” Katz said.

Katz said that the version of events offered by Anna Ruch – which Cuomo, 63 claims, caught her face and kissed her after umpiring at a colleague’s 2019 wedding – “clarifies” that she touched him inappropriately.

A picture of the alleged incident also appears to the 33-year-old Ruch, who appears to be extremely uncomfortable while holding both sides of Cuomo’s face with his hands tucked into her.

Katz also said that Bennett reported Cuomo’s “sexual harassment behavior to his Chief of Staff and Chief Counsel immediately.”

Debra Katz, representing former Andrew Cuomo colleague Charlotte Bennett, says the governor’s “press conference was full of lies and misinformation.”

“We believe he made aware of her complaint and we fully expect that the Attorney General’s investigation will demonstrate that Cuomo administration officials failed to act on Ms. Bennett’s serious allegations or to ensure that corrective measures are taken. Were made, in violation of their legal requirements. ”Said Katz.

Bennett, 25, has alleged that Kyomo asked him inappropriate personal questions, stating that he was open to relationships with women in his 20s and felt he “wanted to sleep with me.”
