The last victim of the deadly collapse of a beachfront Florida building has been identified, bringing the grueling weeks-long search in the ruins to a tragic close.

Estelle Hedaya, 54, was identified by authorities on Monday, making her the 98th and final victim of the June 24 collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside.

“She always mentioned God anytime she was struggling with anything,” her brother, Ikey Hedaya, told the Associated Press.

His sister was identified just days after first responders cleared the rubble from the site after more than 14,000 tons of concrete and debris were removed during around-the-clock rescue — and later recovery — operations.

“For the past 33 days they have searched the rubble as if they were searching for one of their own,” Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said at a press conference Monday.

Authorities are still working to determine the exact cause of the 1:30 a.m. collapse.

Experts believe the problems were centered on a portion of the pool at the building, which was flagged in a 2018 engineer’s report as having “major structural damage.”

The Champlain condo association board finally approved $15 million in repairs for the 40-year-old building, but work had only just begun when the building fell.

Officials are now weighing the future of the site, with a memorial for the victims likely to be included in any plans there.
